Soldiers for Solar Program
The Soldiers for Solar program was originally created to teach the technicians we were inheriting from the Fort Lewis discharge program. Maintenance of solar panels is a service that allows a training technician the opportunity to learn all safety processes away from the edges of the roof, while staying productive on a project. It is crucial to get a technician comfortable with a lot of the equipment that they will be using on a daily basis.
Here at WindowWorks LLC we service everything from individual projects for home owners to fields for solar farms. We also work for a number of the states leading solar instillation companies servicing customers one year after installation.
Hiring Veterans
Being on time and dependable are two qualities that are hard to find in todays workforce. After a long history of hiring from inside the industry in which we operate, owner Zach Davis committed to a different path. The approach changed from hiring people skilled in the trade, to hiring people with excellent leadership skills and high level integrity, then training the trade skills from scratch. Window cleaning, roof cleaning, and all other services offered are teachable to adults. Teaching leadership and integrity prove to be a much taller order. Without developed leadership skills and integrity there is very little chance this person would be regularly on time. The lightbulb over my head went on and I began to focus on the process of onboarding employees that were exiting careers in the military.
Army Sergeant Shawn Shaffer
The Soldiers for Solar program is built on a higher level of integrity, leadership skills, and work ethic of our military veterans like Shawn Shaffer. Not only does Shawn train all incoming applicants, but he also assists in the entire hiring process and is an amazing asset and resource to our team. His ability to communicate with a soldier transitioning into the “civilian world” is invaluable to our success.
Army Sergeant Matt Johnson
Mathew is our first real success story. After working for WindowWorks LLC after honorably discharging from the Army; Matthew learned the skills and business structures to start his own business inside the property service industries. Matthew is currently the owner of a number of flourishing business operating in the Oklahoma City areas, but continues to be a humungous help to WindowWorks Property Services LLC in the introductions with the necessary channels to hire heroes leaving a life of service to our country.

How Do We Get These Funds?
Working with some of the area’s largest solar panel installation companies, WindowWorks LLC has generated a groundswell of enthusiasm for extending the benefits of solar power throughout the world. Project 1 is in Taucabamba, Peru, which is in the mountains outside of Cusco at 12,000 feet above sea level. We have installed eleven commercial and residential solar systems in Peru to date. Currently we are planning projects in Fiji and Belize as well.
The team at Solar Empowerment Solutions, a non-profit organization, has more than 50 years of combined experience in the solar and electrical industry. Our aim is to help people in rural areas of developing nations get reliable access to electricity with the help of off grid solar power.

We Want Our Employees to Experience the Best
We offer the technicians, whose labor was responsible for raising these funds, to accompany the company responsible for the installation in the developing nation.
By this initiative, our retired veterans get an opportunity to see a more beautiful side of life after sacrificing a time of their lives fighting for the security of our nation.
